All Nippon Airways (ANA) renewed its pre-order service for international in-flight duty-free products on July 22. The renewal had initially been scheduled for July 15, but was postponed.
Passengers will no longer need to have booked an airline ticket to browse products on the pre-order website. The ordering period has also been changed to from 45 days to 2 days before departure (3 days before departure for flights originating overseas). Payment is accepted only by credit card or debit card. Card details are entered when placing the order, and payment is processed after the products are received on board.
The new service will apply to flights departing Japan from August 1. For flights originating overseas, the service will be introduced sequentially after the arrival and turnaround of the corresponding Japan-originating flights.
A renewal commemorative campaign will be held from July 22 through August 16. Eligible flights are those departing from August 1 (for flights departing Japan) through September 20. Discounts of 15% (normally 10%) will be offered for payments with an ANA Card, and 5% (normally no discount) for payments with other credit cards and debit cards. Orders placed through the pre-order website before the renewal are not eligible for the campaign.
