
Odakyu’s Veteran 8000 Series Transferred to Seibu Railway, Begins Operations on Kokubunji Line in Late May
JR Kyushu has announced its service status for today, July 29, following the Kumamoto earthquake. The information is current as of 8:00 a.m. and is due to inspections of tracks and equipment.
Operations on the Kyushu Shinkansen have been suspended across the entire line since the first trains. Service between Kumamoto and Kagoshima-Chuo stations will be suspended for the entire day.
Services have been suspended since the first trains between Arao and Yatsushiro stations on the Kagoshima Main Line, between Kumamoto and Bungo-Taketa stations on the Hohi Main Line, and between Uto and Misumi stations on the Misumi Line. Services between Tosu and Arao stations on the Kagoshima Main Line will operate at reduced frequency.
Among limited express and D&S trains, the Trans-Kyushu Limited Express, Aso Boy!, and A-Train will not operate. Uto, Misumi, Yatsushiro, Shin-Minamata, and Isui stations will be closed for the entire day today.
