ANA to Launch Chiikawa Jet in Late October
Japan Airlines (JAL) has resumed operations of its 10th Airbus A350-1000 aircraft (registration: JA10WJ).
On December 14, 2025, while parked at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport, the aircraft was damaged when the right main wing of another airline’s aircraft, which was being towed, made contact with it. The damage included the left-side cockpit windows and other areas. Operations were subsequently suspended for repairs, and the aircraft was ferried to Tokyo Haneda Airport on July 31.
The first flight following the resumption of operations was Flight JL043 from Tokyo/Haneda to London/Heathrow on August 4. The flight departed Tokyo/Haneda at 9:54 a.m. and is scheduled to arrive at London/Heathrow at 3:48 p.m. the same day.
