Riyadh Air launched a new route between Riyadh and Kuala Lumpur on July 30.
The airline operates three weekly round trips on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flight time is eight hours in both directions.
At ceremonies held at both airports, CEO Tony Douglas commented, “The inaugural flight to Kuala Lumpur marks a defining moment in establishing our foothold in Southeast Asia. This route is more than a direct connection between two capitals; it is an important bridge linking Saudi Arabia with the wider ASEAN region.”
This is the airline’s first route to Southeast Asia. Riyadh Air is the ninth Middle Eastern airline to serve Kuala Lumpur, meeting growing demand for tourism, trade, and religious travel.
