
JAL Offers Flexible Ticket Options as Typhoon 13 Approaches
Japan Airlines (JAL) and Malaysia Airlines will expand their codeshare partnership.
The expansion covers Malaysia Airlines’ Fukuoka–Kuala Lumpur route, as well as JAL’s routes from Fukuoka to Sapporo/New Chitose, Tokyo/Haneda, Osaka/Itami, Tokushima, Kochi, Matsuyama, Izumo, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Yakushima, and Amami.
Malaysia Airlines will launch the Fukuoka–Kuala Lumpur route on September 2, operating five weekly round trips. Flights will depart Fukuoka on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and depart Kuala Lumpur on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Boeing 737-8 aircraft will be used.
To commemorate the expansion of the codeshare partnership, a double miles campaign will be offered on the Fukuoka–Kuala Lumpur route for JAL Mileage Bank members. The travel period is from September 2 through March 31, 2027. Only JAL flight numbers are eligible, and certain booking classes are excluded.
Ticket sales will begin on August 7.
