Ethiopian Airlines launched its Addis Ababa–Mauritius route on July 12.
The airline operates three round trips per week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, using Boeing 737-8 aircraft. Flight time is five and a half hours in both directions.
As part of its route expansion across Africa, the service connects Mauritius with destinations throughout Africa, as well as Europe, the United States, Asia, and the Middle East, via Addis Ababa.
Previously, Ethiopian Airlines provided access to Mauritius via Johannesburg, Nairobi, and Antananarivo through interline and codeshare arrangements.
