Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has introduced its “Pre-Select” inflight meal pre-selection service in Economy Class as well.
The service is available on long-haul flights departing from Switzerland. Passengers can choose from meat dishes and vegetarian meals from Hiltl, a vegetarian restaurant in Zurich. Orders can be placed from six weeks up to 24 hours before departure via the website or app.
SWISS has offered Pre-Select in First Class and Business Class since 2022. Since December 2025, passengers in Premium Economy Class have also been able to choose from three options. The airline currently receives around 1,000 pre-orders per day, with its most popular dish, Zurich-style veal in cream sauce, having been selected approximately 42,000 times to date.
In Business Class, Pre-Select is also available on short-haul routes. On routes such as Zurich–Dusseldorf and Zurich–London, where no onboard menu selection is normally available, passengers can choose from up to eight options.
In Economy Class on short-haul routes, passengers can also pre-order items from the paid “SWISS Saveurs” menu at a 10% discount from the regular price.
