The Westin Miyako Kyoto will be offering sweets made with summer strawberries from August 1st to 31st.
The afternoon tea set (6,500 yen), made with domestic summer strawberries, includes items such as “Strawberry Shortcake”, “Pudding a la Mode”, “Strawberry Tiramisu” infused with strawberry syrup into sponge cake and topped with mascarpone cream, a “Strawberry and White Chocolate Mousse” designed to look like a real strawberry, “Shrimp and Strawberry Cocktail”, and “Strawberry Gazpacho” among others.
The summer strawberry parfait (2,900 yen) layers homemade strawberry sherbet and vanilla ice under marinated summer strawberries and flamberries in raspberry brandy, blueberries, crumble, chantilly, yogurt panna cotta, and lemon jelly. A separate strawberry granita is also provided to pour over as desired. For cakes featuring summer strawberries, there are options like the Fraise Coco (900 yen) with layers of summer strawberry puree, coconut mousse, chocolate crunch, and coconut financier, a summer strawberry tart (1,500 yen), and a summer strawberry roll cake wrapped with chantilly (800 yen).
Located on the 2nd-floor tea lounge “Mayfair”, these items will be available for sale from 11 am to 6 pm. All prices include tax and service charges.
