JR Kyushu Offers Unlimited Rides on the West Kyushu Shinkansen with a ‘T-shirt Ticket’ for the 2nd Anniversary of the Line’s Opening
JR Kyushu will be selling the “T-shirt Ticket”, which offers unlimited rides on the West Kyushu Shinkansen, from 10:00 am on August 21st until 12:00 pm on September 20th.
The sale is part of the “GO WEST 2” project, commemorating the second anniversary of the opening of the West Kyushu Shinkansen ‘Kamome’ service. The ticket is valid only on September 21st. To board the train, passengers must either wear the T-shirt (ticket) or carry it with them, entering through manned ticket gates. The price is 3,000 yen (tax included) for adults and 1,500 yen (same) for children.
Tickets can be purchased from the “JR Kyushu Travel Desk (STORES)” website. They can be collected by presenting the reservation confirmation email at the designated station. Pre-collection will be conducted in front of the central ticket gates of Hakata Station from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on September 16th and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on September 17th, and on the day collection will be available from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm at stations on the West Kyushu Shinkansen on September 21st.
