H.I.S. (HIS) has announced its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending October 2024, covering the period from November 2023 to July 2024. The company reported a final profit of 3.886 billion yen.
Revenue stood at 237.582 billion yen, a 44.9% increase over the same period in the previous year, with an operating profit of 5.503 billion yen.
While overseas travel to Hawaii and Micronesia was sluggish, travel to South Korea, Taiwan, Europe, Oceania, and the American West Coast, where demand for sporting events is strong, continued to perform well. Domestic travel is gradually recovering, despite some backlash from the “National Travel Support”. The hotel business and the Kyushu Sangyo Kotsu Group also recorded profits.
The forecast for the fiscal year-end maintains revenue at 360 billion yen, operating profit at 11 billion yen, and a final profit of 7 billion yen.
