Klook Travel Technology has launched “Travel Light,” a service allowing visitors to Japan to check into their hotels at the airport.
Upon completing their check-in at the airport, guests can leave their luggage, which will then be delivered from the airport to their hotel. This service was developed in collaboration with Japan Electric (NEC) and Maruwa Transport, based on NEC’s “Smart Hospitality Service,” a check-in system for the hotel industry, with the support of the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau. It will be rolled out sequentially in Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo.
Bookings for accommodation, combined with the early check-in service, need to be made through the travel reservation site “Klook.” The service is only available to guests arriving at Kansai International Airport, Narita International Airport, and Haneda Airport, staying at selected hotels, including Hotel Vischio Osaka, Hotel Granvia Osaka, and Keio Plaza Hotel.
