Tokyu Bus to Launch a Completely Cashless Bus Service between Shibuya Station and Daikanyama from December 1st, Fare Increase Planned
Tokyu Bus will start operating a “completely cashless bus service” for the Shibuya Station to Daikanyama loop route from December 1st.
This route has been selected by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for the “demonstration operation of a completely cashless bus” as it is a community route with a high cashless payment ratio. The payment methods will include transport IC cards, contactless credit cards, and QR codes, among others.
On the same day, the fare for this route will be increased. The reason given for this is to maintain and continue providing a safe and comfortable transportation service. The revised fare will be 200 yen for both cash and IC card payments (current fare: 160 yen for cash, 157 yen for IC card).
