JR East Releases ‘Kyun Pass’: Unlimited Rides for ¥10,000 on Weekdays Including Shinkansen, Plus New Two-Day Option
Tohoku & Hokkaido Shinkansen Offers Up to 50% Discount with ‘Super Value Special 21’
JR East and JR Hokkaido are introducing a special offer on the Tohoku and Hokkaido Shinkansen lines where tickets can be purchased at up to 50% discount with the ‘Shinkansen e-Ticket (Super Value Special 21)’.
The offer is set to coincide with the illumination events of ‘Hakodate Christmas Fantasy’ and ‘SENDAI Pageant of Starlight’.
Example routes and prices from Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station include Shin-Aomori Station at 3,750 yen, Morioka Station at 6,610 yen, and Sendai Station at 8,870 yen. The eligible trains for this discount are the ‘Hayabusa’ and ‘Hayate’ between Shin-Aomori and Morioka stations, and ‘Hayabusa’ for the Sendai station segment.
Additional discounts are also being expanded, including up to 25% off with the ‘Shinkansen e-Ticket (Super Value 14)’ and up to 5% off with the ‘Shinkansen e-Ticket (Super Value 1)’ for trains departing from and arriving at the Tokyo Metropolitan area. These discounts apply to designated seats on the ‘Hayabusa’.
The travel period is from December 11 to December 25, with sales starting from 10 a.m. one month before the travel date until 11:50 p.m. 21 days before.
