JR Central Bus will operate the ‘Yellow Bus’ from October 13, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
A high-speed bus wrapped in the same color as the Doctor Yellow (T4 formation) of the Tokaido & Sanyo Shinkansen, which will retire in January 2025. The vehicle is a Mitsubishi Fuso ‘Aero Ace’ (40-seater with toilet). The first service will be the ‘Shin-Tomei Super Liner Shinjuku No. 4’ from Nagoya Station at 8:00 AM, and subsequent operation plans will be announced via the official website and on social media.
As part of the ‘Yellow Bus’ × Campaign, three individuals who post a photo of the ‘Yellow Bus’ on X (formerly Twitter) with the tags ‘#JR Central Bus’ and ‘#Yellow Bus’ will be selected to receive a model of the ‘Yellow Bus’. The campaign runs from October 13 to November 30.
‘Yellow Bus’ merchandise will be sold at the online shop ‘JR Central Bus Department’ and at events, and the bus is planned to operate and be displayed at various events. It was exhibited at the Hamamatsu factory during the ‘JR Central Hamamatsu Factory GO’ tour held on October 19 & 20.
