OpenDoor Increases Its Shares in Veltra
OpenDoor has increased its stake in Veltra, filing a change report with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau on December 12.
From November 15 to December 5, it acquired 782,200 shares in the market. The purpose of the holding is policy investment, with the shareholding ratio increasing from 12.41% to 13.34%. The funds for the acquisition were self-financed, with about 1.758 billion yen invested so far.
In addition, Mr. Daisuke Sekine, the CEO, owns 296,900 shares, and The Pass Investment, a related entity, holds 164,000 shares, bringing the total ownership ratio to 14.60%.
Veltra allocated 4.1 million shares to OpenDoor in a third-party allotment capital increase in January 2021, raising about 1.5 billion yen. This made OpenDoor the second-largest shareholder in Veltra. Although the issue price at the time was 368 yen per share, the closing price on December 13 was 287 yen, indicating a downtrend.
