Keisei Skyliner to Launch AI Facial Recognition Boarding Service ‘Skyliner e-ticket Face Check in Go’ on January 24
Keisei Electric Railway will launch the AI facial recognition boarding service “Skyliner e-ticket Face Check in Go” on January 24.
By registering facial information through a PC or smartphone camera during the purchase on the internet ticket service “Skyliner e-ticket,” passengers can board by facial recognition on tablets installed at compatible gates. It eliminates the need for ticket exchanges at counters, as tickets can be issued from ticket machines in front of the facial recognition area. This service is usable only for the train departing nearest from the boarding station.
The service will be available at Keisei Ueno Station, Nippori Station (North Gate), Airport Terminal 2 Station, and Narita Airport Station, and passengers will need to use manned gates upon alighting. If seat reservation is required or if boarding any train other than the nearest departing one, ticket issuance from a counter will be necessary.
