Emirates has introduced the Premium Economy Class on the Dubai-Brisbane route starting February 1.
The service is available on flights EK434/435, scheduled three round-trips per week, using Airbus A380 aircraft.
The refurbished Airbus A380 features a four-class configuration with 14 First Class suites, 76 Business Class seats, 56 Premium Economy Class seats, and 338 Economy Class seats, totaling 484 seats.
The Premium Economy seats are arranged in a “2-4-2” configuration with 56 seats located at the front of the lower deck. The seat pitch is a maximum of 40 inches, with a seat width of 19.5 inches. They are made of cream-colored anti-stain leather, finished with wood paneling similar to Business Class. Each seat includes a 13.3-inch monitor, a six-way adjustable headrest, footrest, and leg rest.
In-flight, passengers are offered a welcome drink and meals served on china, along with premium wines, sparkling wines, liqueurs, and chocolates after meals. Travelers are also provided with blankets made from recycled plastic bottles, large pillows, and amenity kits to ensure a comfortable journey.
The Premium Economy Class will ultimately be installed on 67 Airbus A380s and 53 Boeing 777s, for a total of over 4,000 seats.
