Miyako City Kintetsu Kyoto Station has renovated the 7th floor rooms as the “Comfort Floor,” following the refurbishment of the top floor 8th-floor rooms, and reopened them on March 1.
The renovation covers a total of 63 rooms, including 41 Standard Twin, 6 Middle Twin, 10 Wide Twin, and 6 Triple rooms. The design concept is based on “Shichu Sankyo,” reflecting the wabi-cha philosophy of Sen no Rikyu. The rooms feature “Miyako City Original Beds” developed in collaboration with Simmons, and 50-inch wall-mounted internet TVs, with USB ports installed at the bedside. Guests can enjoy YouTube, NETFLIX, and other content, and connect their devices to Chromecast for large-screen viewing.
To commemorate the renovation, a “Comfort Floor Renovation Commemoration Plan” is being offered. The stay period is from March 1 to September 30. The accommodation rates start at 16,500 yen for Standard Twin and 21,000 yen for Wide Twin per room per night for two guests (room only, tax included). Special benefits for the accommodation plan include a complimentary “DHC Skincare Set” for each guest, along with “Best Rate Guarantee” and “Late Check-out” perks for Miyako Plus members.
