Waldorf Astoria Osaka to Open on April 3, 2025
Hyatt Regency Tokyo has opened ‘Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar’ on the second-floor lobby on April 24.
With the theme of Shinjuku’s dual nature of daytime liveliness and nighttime glamour, it offers various experiences throughout the day. At night, it becomes a bar that represents Shinjuku’s nightlife, where guests can enjoy signature cocktails inspired by Shinjuku’s culture, history, and scenery, along with selections of wine and champagne. Each craft cocktail embodies Shinjuku’s “nighttime energy” and expresses the district’s dual nature and vibrancy.
The signature cocktail menu includes ‘King of Fruits’ (2,900 JPY) using all parts of a melon, the milk punch style ‘SANDO’ (2,900 JPY), ‘Time for Tea’ (3,300 JPY) representing a calm and elegant moment, ‘New Reali-teas’ (3,300 JPY) offering a new tea experience combining matcha with coconut and pineapple, ‘Kakishibu’ (3,300 JPY) decorated with geometric stencil designs, and ‘Obi & Ume’ (3,300 JPY) inspired by kimono sashes, with a ribbon reminiscent of obi wrapped around the glass. The lounge provides 80 seats and operates from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with cocktails available from 5:00 PM.
