Kyoritsu Maintenance will open “Dormy Inn Tsuruga with Natural Hot Spring Wakasa no Yu” on July 18.
The building has 10 floors above ground. There are a total of 199 guest rooms, including 17 single rooms, 114 double rooms, 16 queen rooms, 48 twin rooms, 2 triple rooms, and 2 universal twin rooms.
The facility features a large bathhouse with natural hot spring water sourced from Imajyo 365 Onsen, a silky bath, a high-temperature dry sauna (automated loyly) with a water bath 150 cm deep, an open-air bathing area, a manga corner, a laundry corner, a restaurant, and a smoking booth. After bath, guests can enjoy complimentary ice cream and lactic acid drinks. The decor in various locations incorporates motifs of Western-style architecture scattered throughout Tsuruga, arranged with a modern sensibility.
For breakfast, they offer a Japanese-Western buffet with about 45 varieties of dishes, including seasonal ingredients and local specialty “Sauce Katsu Don.” For a night snack, they provide free soy sauce ramen called “Yonaki Soba.”
Access is about an 8-minute walk from Tsuruga Station accessible on JR Hokuriku Main Line, Obama Line, Joetsu-Hokuriku Shinkansen, and Happy Line Fukui. It’s about a 17-minute drive from the Hokuriku Expressway Tsuruga Interchange (IC).
