IHG Hotels & Resorts will open the “Garner Hotel Kyoto Shijo Karasuma” in November. It has signed a contract with Taisei Yuraku Real Estate and Pacifica Hotels.
The hotel will be rebranded from the Hotel Kyoto Base Shijo Karasuma, which ceased operations on June 30. The building is nine stories with a total of 103 guest rooms. This will be the fourth Garner brand hotel in Japan and the first entry into Kyoto.
It is within walking distance of Gojo Station and Shijo Station, and about a 10-minute drive from Kyoto Station.
