Hilton Tokyo’s Fall ‘School of Witches and Wizards’ Sweets Buffet (Sep 9–Nov 13)
Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo will offer a limited-quantity Moon-Viewing (Otsukimi) Afternoon Tea from September 1 through 30.
Sweets include five items: Otsukimi Roll — a round, full-moon-like cake with pumpkin-flavored custard and whipped cream wrapped in pumpkin chiffon; Tsukimi Daifuku topped with a rabbit-shaped kohakuto (amber sugar candy) and deep-fried ears of rice; Evening Moon Jelly; Autumn Fig Pie Tart garnished with a maple leaf; and Hojicha Mousse with chestnut tucked into a hojicha crunch. Savories feature four items, including a Tsukimi Hamburger with a quail egg and a patty of Japanese beef, and Pork Rillettes shaped like a crescent moon and clouds. Scones come in two flavors — Kinako & Whole Wheat and Fermented Butter — served with apple jam and clotted cream. Beverages include seven varieties of TWG Tea, five herbal teas, and coffee, all offered free-flow.
The venue is the Lobby Lounge “Bamboo.” Seating is for two hours starting at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.; on Fridays and Saturdays only, three-hour seatings start at 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Price: 6,400 yen, tax and service charge included.
