AirAsia will launch the Kuala Lumpur–Banjarmasin route on October 20.
It will operate four round trips per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight time is 2 hours 35 minutes from Kuala Lumpur and 2 hours 50 minutes from Banjarmasin.
Banjarmasin is the largest city in South Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. Indonesia aims to increase international arrivals to 16 million by 2025, and with Malaysia being one of its top source markets, improved connectivity is expected to help boost visitor numbers.
With this launch, AirAsia will serve 18 cities in Indonesia from Malaysia, expanding to 229 weekly round trips.
