
Toyoko Inn to Sell ‘Local GENKI Badges’ from April 1
Tokyo Tatemono Resort opened “Regina Resort Yufuin” on November 16 in Yufuin, Oita Prefecture, Japan.
The guest rooms consist of 8 maisonette-type terrace suites standing on a hill overlooking the satoyama rural landscape of Yufuin, and 7 standalone villa suites, each equipped with a private dog run of up to approximately 160 square meters. All rooms allow guests to stay with their dogs, including large breeds. Each room is equipped with a private open-air bath fed by natural hot springs. Amenities for dogs are also provided, including toilet sheets, poop bags for walks, tableware, and towels. When booking through the official website, up to two dogs can stay free of charge.
Inside the facility, there is an open-air hot spring bath with a view of Mount Yufu (Yufudake), private hot spring baths available for exclusive use, and two dog runs: one of about 80 square meters for all dog breeds and another of about 50 square meters primarily for small dogs. Standard chargers for electric vehicles are also installed. For meals, the resort serves creative Japanese cuisine prepared with seasonal ingredients from Kyushu, and offers special menus for dogs using local ingredients.
Access: approximately 5 minutes by car from Yufuin Station on the JR Kyudai Main Line, about 10 minutes by car from the Yufuin Interchange (IC) on the Oita Expressway, and about 10 minutes by car from the Yufudake Smart Interchange (IC).
