Hilton Tokyo Odaiba to Undergo First Major Renovation, Including Guest Rooms and Executive Lounge Expansion
Odakyu Resorts opened RETONA HAKONE, an all-rooms-onsen, dog-friendly hotel in Hakone, Japan, on December 15, 2025.
The hotel offers 15 guest rooms in 10 different types, including the “Villa Suite,” which is a fully private, stand-alone villa, and the “Luxury C-Type,” which features a hanging sofa. Every room is equipped with its own hot spring bath. First-floor rooms come with a private dog run and wood deck, while second-floor rooms have an inner balcony or sunroom. In addition to dog beds, toilets, and bed steps, the hotel provides indoor loungewear for dogs made from the same fabric as that for the family, in various sizes, so guests and their dogs can relax in matching outfits.
On the grounds, there is a natural grass dog run with a splashing pond, a walking path of about 2,000 square meters, and a grooming room. Staff members check each dog’s personality and provide service tailored to their temperament, and qualified staff such as pet nutrition managers and certified dog care managers support the stay. For meals, the family can enjoy modern kaiseki cuisine featuring locally produced, locally consumed ingredients and naturally derived fermented foods, while dogs can enjoy special menus created by the head chef, who holds a pet nutrition manager qualification, at the same table. Accommodation rates start from 60,150 yen per person per night, including dinner and breakfast.
Access: approximately 45 minutes by car from the Tomei Expressway Gotemba Interchange (IC), and about a 3-minute walk from Togendai Station on the Hakone Ropeway/Hakone Sightseeing Cruise (pirate ship).
