Sun Frontier Hotel Management will open “Tabino Hotel Aso Kumamoto Airport” on April 17 in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan.
The building has 10 floors above ground. The hotel offers a total of 213 guest rooms in five types: 120 double rooms, 37 double rooms with kitchens, 48 standard twin rooms, 5 deluxe twin rooms, and 3 universal double rooms. All rooms are at least 15 square meters and are equipped with Serta beds, a sofa, table, washing machine, microwave, two-door refrigerator, 55-inch smart TV, and an air purifier with humidifying function. There is also under-bed storage space for suitcases and a hanger rack for drying laundry.
Facilities inside the hotel include a lobby lounge, meeting room, a large public bath with an artificial hot spring inspired by Japan’s Kurokawa Onsen, a men’s sauna and cold bath, a relaxation lounge, coin-operated laundry, and a flat parking lot with space for 150 cars. Breakfast will be served buffet style, offering dishes that use local ingredients such as salads made with Higo vegetables and chikuwa salad (a local-style fish cake salad). Complimentary services include welcome drinks after check-in, ice candies after bathing, and morning coffee in front of the front desk.
Access: approximately 10 minutes by car from Kumamoto Airport, about 8 minutes by car from Higo-Ozu Station on the JR Hohi Main Line, and about 15 minutes by car from Kumamoto Interchange (IC) on the Kyushu Expressway.
