
Cathay Pacific to Increase Fukuoka–Hong Kong Flights from March 29
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan has issued spot information and wide-area information calling for caution regarding the possibility of rapid changes in the situation in the Middle East.
While talks are being held between the United States and Iran, it has been reported that the United States is increasing its military presence in the Middle East, and therefore there is a possibility that the situation could change rapidly.
A Level 4 danger alert (Evacuation Advisory) has already been issued for Iran. Japanese nationals who are still staying in Iran are urged to evacuate abroad while commercial flights are operating, and are advised not to travel to Iran for any purpose.
In addition, Japanese nationals are encouraged to make efforts to ensure their own safety by collecting the latest information on, for example, the possible impact of the situation in the Middle East on the countries and regions where they are staying, and by avoiding approaching U.S. military facilities and other such locations.
The countries and regions covered by the wide-area information are Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Yemen, Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, Eritrea, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Syria, Sudan, Turkey, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Iceland, Albania, Italy, the United Kingdom, Estonia, the Netherlands, Canada, North Macedonia, Greece, Croatia, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Norway, Hungary, Finland, France, Bulgaria, the United States, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Montenegro, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Luxembourg, covering many countries and regions in Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
