La’gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae has reopened some of its top-floor guest rooms after renovation on February 1.
The hotel has newly created six “Sorasen” rooms and one “Ginka” room, both themed on the port city of Hakodate in Hokkaido, Japan. The “Sorasen” rooms, which accommodate up to three guests, feature interior design inspired by the drifting image of ships moored in the port, the fog that envelops the city of Hakodate, and the changing seascape over time. From the windows, guests can enjoy views of Hakodate Bay and JR Hakodate Station. The “Ginka” room, which accommodates up to four guests, features interior design inspired by the sight of snow falling on Hakodate Port, illuminated so that silver flowers seem to dance across the night sky. The walls are decorated with a flickering panel and Japanese paper art based on the silver flower motif, and the room is configured as a theater room equipped with a projector, large screen, and a BOSE speaker surround system.
