Resort Japan opened “Cedars Hotel” on February 15.
The hotel offers a total of 16 guest rooms in three types: studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. All rooms are equipped with a kitchen and a washing machine, and some rooms offer views of the Northern Japan Alps mountain range. By slightly shifting the layout of the building volumes, the design reduces direct lines of sight and a sense of presence between adjacent rooms, while allowing each guest room to enjoy views in different directions.
The interior features concrete imprinted with the grain of Japanese cedar, combined with charred cedar wood (yakisugi). Located just a one-minute walk from Hakuba Valley Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort, the property offers ski-in/ski-out access. Inside the hotel, there is also an on-site café created in collaboration with the coffee brand “Allpress Espresso.”
