ANA and Pokémon to Launch Three Special “Pokémon Jet” Aircraft in Japan This Year
Lufthansa German Airlines will move up the launch date of its new “Lufthansa Allegris” business class on Boeing 787-9 aircraft, and begin offering it from March 29.
The Boeing 787-9 equipped with “Lufthansa Allegris” was first delivered in August 2025. Operations began on October 9, 2025, and the airline currently operates eight of these aircraft. Due to delays in seat certification, the seats could not be sold until now. Initially, sales were limited to flights departing on or after April 15. Of the 28 business class seats, 25 will be available for sale, with only the three seats in the second row not being sold.
“Lufthansa Allegris” is a new seating concept that offers multiple seat types. In addition to classic seats, which can be selected free of charge, passengers can pay to select business class suites in the front row, extra space seats with more legroom, privacy seats by the windows, and extra-long bed seats with a bed length of 2.2 meters.
The “Lufthansa Allegris” product has also been installed on Airbus A350-900 aircraft based at Munich, and has been in operation since May 2024. The Boeing 787-9 fleet is based at Frankfurt, and in the summer schedule it operates to Austin, Rio de Janeiro, Bogotá, Cape Town, Shanghai/Pudong, Hyderabad, and Hong Kong. From June it will also serve New York/John F. Kennedy and Los Angeles, and from July it will begin service to Delhi. Lufthansa plans to introduce a total of 29 aircraft equipped with this product by the end of 2027.
