
United Airlines Unveils New Guam-Based Boeing 737-8 Fleet, Replacing 737-800s by Year-End
Finnair has placed a firm order for 18 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
The airline is proceeding with the renewal of its narrow-body fleet for European routes. In addition, the contract includes options for 16 aircraft and purchase rights for 12 more. The aircraft will be configured with 134 seats, and deliveries will begin in the third quarter of 2027. Finnair expects to receive 3 aircraft in 2027, and 6 aircraft each in 2028 and 2029. Operations will be carried out by Nordic Regional Airlines (Norra), which handles Finnair’s regional routes.
Furthermore, Finnair has signed an agreement with Pratt & Whitney for the supply of spare PW1900G engines for the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, as well as maintenance services.
Finnair will also acquire up to 12 Airbus A320ceo and Airbus A321ceo aircraft from the used aircraft market to replace its aging Airbus A319 and Airbus A320 aircraft. The number of aircraft and delivery schedule will be decided according to the progress of preparations.
