H.I.S. Co., Ltd. (HIS) has newly established the IR Co-Creation Promotion Office and the Space Business Enhancement Promotion Office, effective April 1.
The IR Co-Creation Promotion Office is a specialized organization set up with a view to the opening of the integrated resort (IR) on Yumeshima in Osaka, planned for autumn 2030. It will promote initiatives such as supporting the construction of mechanisms to send visitors from the IR to various regions throughout Japan, supporting the development of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) business, building co-creation models in diversified business domains, and promoting the realization of a safe and secure society, including measures against gambling addiction and regional coexistence. With an eye toward establishing future operating companies or joint ventures, the office will also consider investments and acquisitions in areas where synergies are expected. The head of the office will be Mr. Satoshi Hira, who concurrently serves as Deputy General Manager, Kansai Corporate Business Department, Corporate Sales Headquarters.
The Space Business Enhancement Promotion Office aims to create businesses that will bring value to the next generation. As an organization responsible for planning and promoting new businesses in the growing market of the space business field, it will strengthen activities such as identifying areas for entry and building hypotheses for business models, forming a global ecosystem and reinforcing partnerships, and updating existing businesses from a space-based perspective. With a view toward launching future operating companies or joint ventures, it will also consider investments and acquisitions in areas where synergies are expected. The head of the office will be Mr. Masayuki Kaizu, who concurrently serves as General Manager of the New Business Management Headquarters.
