Toyoko Inn to Sell ‘Local GENKI Badges’ from April 1
Satsumasendai City in Kagoshima Prefecture will implement the “Satsumasendai City Manzoku Stay GO! GO! Campaign.”
The campaign is funded by the Japanese national government’s Special Temporary Grant for Regional Revitalization to Address Rising Prices. For stays of at least 5,000 yen (tax included) per night at accommodations within the city, a flat discount of 3,000 yen per person per night will be applied. In the case of consecutive nights, only one night will be eligible for the discount.
The eligible stay period is from check-in on April 1 through check-out on September 1. Eligible guests are overnight guests of elementary school age or older for whom accommodation fees are charged. Plans that include vouchers, day-use only, meal-only use, additional food and drink charges or room service incurred on-site, cancellation fees, and official business trips funded by public expenses are excluded.
Sales of accommodation products began on March 10. Users must first check the special campaign website for participating facilities, then make a reservation via each accommodation facility’s official website, online booking site, or by phone, clearly stating that they wish to use the campaign. Discounts cannot be applied to stays booked before the campaign start date. Applications will close once the budget (10,000 room nights) has been reached.
