Cathay Pacific Lounge at Narita Airport to Temporarily Close for Renovation
Hokkaido Airports Co., Ltd. has opened a shared office at New Chitose Airport and installed private work booths at three airports in Eastern Hokkaido: Obihiro, Kushiro, and Memanbetsu.
In Hokkaido, growth industries such as semiconductors, data centers, agriculture, and the space industry are becoming increasingly active. In response to the rising number of business travelers from Japan’s main island (Honshu) and the spread of remote work, this initiative aims to evolve airports from being merely “places of transit” into “places with added value for staying.”
On the 3rd floor of the domestic terminal at New Chitose Airport, a first-of-its-kind collaborative hub in Japan will open in August, combining three functions: Mitsui Fudosan’s shared office “WORK STYLING,” Culture Convenience Club’s “SHARE LOUNGE,” and “RISE GATE.” It will provide a shared office for corporate members, a lounge, rental offices, and event/community functions.
In addition, two reservation-based private work booths, “Telecube,” operated by Telecube Service, have been installed at each of Obihiro, Kushiro, and Memanbetsu airports. This marks the first such locations in the Eastern Hokkaido area and the easternmost bases in Japan. As a result, reservation-based private booths are now available at all six airports operated by Hokkaido Airports.
