U.S. Airlines Offer Special Measures for Spirit Airlines Passengers After Suspension of Operations
Singapore Airlines will gradually introduce Starlink, the low-Earth orbit satellite communication service provided by SpaceX, starting in the first quarter of 2027.
The対象 aircraft types are the Airbus A350-900 Long Haul (LH), Airbus A350-900ULR, and Airbus A380. The installation is expected to be completed by the end of 2029.
Suites, First Class, Business Class, and PPS Club members, as well as KrisFlyer members in Premium Economy Class and Economy Class, will be able to use the service free of charge.
Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, said, “Singapore Airlines already offers the industry’s most comprehensive free inflight Wi-Fi across its entire fleet. Starlink will take this to the next level, providing an even smoother and more seamless experience from take-off to landing.”
The low-Earth orbit satellite communication service provided via Starlink is characterized by high-speed and low-latency connectivity. Starlink has already been adopted by airlines such as ZIPAIR Tokyo, Qatar Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, and United Airlines.
