Skymark’s First Boeing 737-8 for a Japanese Airline Arrives at Tokyo Haneda
Scoot has placed an additional order for 11 Airbus A320neo family aircraft.
Along with a new order for 5 aircraft, the airline has exercised options for 6 aircraft that were contracted in 2014. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028.
The additional aircraft on order are Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo models, configured in an all-economy layout with 186 and 236 seats respectively. They will enhance operational flexibility and seating capacity on medium-haul routes of around 5 to 6 hours, supporting the launch of new routes and the strengthening of Scoot’s route network.
The aircraft will be powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines. With this additional order, Scoot now has a total of 20 Airbus A320neo family aircraft with these engines on order.
Currently, Scoot’s fleet consists of 24 Boeing 787 aircraft, 30 Airbus A320 family aircraft, and 9 Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, for a total of 63 aircraft. Of the Airbus A320ceo aircraft, 6 will be retired by 2028.
