AirAsia Considers Future Introduction of Airbus A220-500 as Successor to A320 Fleet
Emirates has unveiled a special livery aircraft (Airbus A380, registration: A6-EVG) featuring the national flag of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) across the entire fuselage.
This is part of Emirates’ “This Flag Will Always Fly” campaign, which it is rolling out in response to a nationwide movement called for by UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. A 3D-style design of the national flag has been applied to both sides of the aircraft.
The aircraft has already been deployed on the Dubai–New York and Dubai–Brisbane routes, and will continue to operate on routes connecting destinations served by the same aircraft type. Emirates also plans to apply the same design to Boeing 777 aircraft.
Emirates has introduced special liveries in the past as well. In 2017, the airline applied a special livery featuring the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, to its 100th Airbus A380, and it has also rolled out a Dubai Expo promotional design on 40 aircraft.
