Ascott to Open Oakwood Oimachi Tracks Tokyo on June 25
Holonick will open “SETRE Canal Nagoya” on June 18.
The building has three floors above ground. It will play a central role in the redevelopment project of the Horidome area of the Nakagawa Canal, called “NAKAGAWA CANAL DOORS.” All 24 guest rooms offer views of the canal. The hotel features a shoes-off layout and interiors that make use of the warmth of wood.
The sauna and semi-open-air bath, both made with lumber produced in Aichi Prefecture, are designed with the fragrance of wood and the canal as motifs. The guest-only lounge, where guests can freely enjoy drinks and light meals connected to Aichi and Nagoya, is furnished with reused scrap materials for furniture and bookshelves. The restaurant serves dishes prepared over charcoal using ingredients from Aichi Prefecture, such as seafood from Mikawa Bay, produce from the Chita Peninsula, and locally grown vegetables. Reservations for overnight stays are already being accepted.
Access: a 15-minute walk from Nagoya Station and a 5-minute walk from Sasashima Live Station.
