Collins Aerospace has expanded its manufacturing facility in Tajęcina, Poland.
The company has enlarged the facility it established in 2012, bringing its total area to approximately 22,000 square meters. With an investment of 69 million US dollars, the expansion will increase production capacity for landing gear systems for commercial and defense aircraft programs by about 25 percent. Around 190 new jobs are expected to be created by the end of the year.
RTX, the parent company of Collins Aerospace, has been operating in Poland for more than 50 years. Across nine sites of its three businesses — Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon, and Collins Aerospace — more than 9,400 employees work in the country, making Poland RTX’s largest base outside the United States in terms of both headcount and scale of investment.
Pratt & Whitney has also announced plans to invest 100 million US dollars in its facility in Rzeszów, Poland, increasing production capacity for critical engine components for GTF, F135, and F100 engines by 30 percent. Operations are expected to begin by 2028.
