
APA Hotel Acquires Kimpton La Peer West Hollywood in Los Angeles
Japan Airlines (JAL) and Marriott International have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing travel experiences.
JAL Mileage Bank and Marriott Bonvoy will offer reciprocal status matching and points benefits. This marks Marriott’s first partnership with a Japanese domestic airline.
Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to earn JAL Mileage Bank FLY ON Points. The number of points awarded will vary by elite membership status: 2,000 points per year for general members, 5,000 for Silver Elite members, 10,000 for Gold Elite members, 20,000 for Platinum Elite members, 30,000 for Titanium Elite members, and 40,000 for Ambassador Elite members. In addition, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members will automatically receive JAL status of Crystal member or above, depending on the number of FLY ON Points they hold.
JAL Mileage Bank members will be granted Marriott Bonvoy elite status. Sapphire members will be status matched to Silver Elite, while JGC Premier, Diamond, and Diamond Metal members will be status matched to Gold Elite. In addition, general members can earn Silver Elite status by staying six nights within six months, while Crystal members can do so with four nights. Sapphire members can earn Gold Elite status with 10 nights within six months, while Diamond and Diamond Metal members can earn Platinum Elite status in their first year only by staying 10 nights within the same period.
Furthermore, JGC Premier members who stay 16 nights within six months will receive 10,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, while Diamond and Diamond Metal members will receive 15,000 points.
