Etihad Airways will convert its Abu Dhabi–Gothenburg route to year-round service.
From December 17, the airline will operate four weekly round trips on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The route will be served by an Airbus A321LR aircraft configured with 160 seats: 2 First Suites, 14 Business Class seats, and 144 Economy Class seats. Flight time is 7 hours and 35 minutes from Abu Dhabi and 6 hours and 45 minutes from Gothenburg.
The service was initially scheduled to operate as a seasonal route through March 21, 2027, but will be converted to year-round operations in response to strong demand.
This will be the first nonstop service linking Gothenburg with the Middle East, offering convenient connections to destinations across Asia. Through the Abu Dhabi Stopover Programme, passengers can also stay in Abu Dhabi for up to two nights.
