The Prince Park Tower Tokyo will offer its “Chinese Afternoon Tea: Hokkaido’s Bounty and Chinese Tea” from September 1 through November 30.
For the hotel’s first Chinese cuisine-style afternoon tea, the executive chef has selected ingredients from Hokkaido firsthand. The menu comprises three appetizers, seven savory items, one choice of noodles, and five sweets. Guests can choose one noodle dish from the new signature Yomeiden Mala Tang, fragrant with eight spices including Chinese five-spice powder; white miso tsuyu soba with a soup stock made by simmering Hokkaido sweet shrimp for three hours; or chilled tomato noodles. Savory selections include Tokachi Wagyu beef stir-fry with Yomeiden’s original mushroom sauce made with Hokkaido mushrooms and scallops, as well as fresh spring rolls with Hokkaido sweet shrimp. Sweets include almond jelly with haskap berry sauce and spring rolls filled with Hokkaido apples and cream cheese. Twelve varieties of Chinese tea, selected by a tea instructor, including premium-grade jasmine tea, are available on a free-flow basis.
The afternoon tea is served at Chinese Restaurant Yomeiden on the basement level. Available from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in two-hour seatings. The price is 7,500 yen, including tax and excluding service charge. Reservations are required by the day before.
