Hotel New Awaji Group will open the Komoe Coast Hotel and Keino Matsubara Hotel on Awaji Island in late January 2027.
Komoe Coast Hotel will be located on the island’s east coast and housed in a six-story building. It will offer 25 guest rooms, including rooms with heated private pools and rooms with saunas and heated private pools. All rooms will feature open-air baths supplied by Sumoto Onsen Uruoi no Yu. Facilities will include an open-kitchen dining venue, a reception and lounge, and a roof terrace and guest lounge. Average nightly rates are expected to be around JPY 300,000 per room. The hotel will be approximately 50 minutes by car from Tokushima Airport and around 5 minutes by car from Sumoto Bus Center.
Keino Matsubara Hotel will be located on the island’s west coast and will comprise a three-story accommodation building and a two-story dining and large public hot spring bath building. It will offer 36 guest rooms, each measuring approximately 50 square meters as standard, including two villa-style rooms. Facilities will include an all-day dining venue serving dishes made with ingredients from Awaji Island, a lounge, large public baths supplied by Uzushio Onsen Uruoi no Yu, a sauna, cold-water bath, fitness gym, and beachside pool. The hotel will operate on an all-inclusive basis, with average rates expected to be just under JPY 90,000 per room per night. It will be approximately 35 minutes by car from Tokushima Airport and around 10 minutes by car from the Riku no Minato Seidan/Seidan Shichi bus stop.
