Sanctuary Court Takayama will offer its “Autumn Afternoon Tea” from September 1 through November 30.
Sweets and savory items will be served on a tea stand inspired by René Lalique’s “Fountain in the Champs-Élysées Shopping Arcade.” The sweets selection includes chestnut Mont Blanc cream puffs inspired by Émile Gallé’s “Cabbage Leaves” vase; mousse potiron noisette inspired by the Daum brothers’ “Western Pumpkin” vase; muscat grape cake inspired by Émile Gallé’s “Grapes” pitcher; bite-sized apple pie; fig tartlet; cassis chocolate; tigre grand orange; and pear panna cotta. Savory items include mixed sandwiches, mini quiche with shrimp and spinach, and wasabi-farm salmon marinade with avocado.
The afternoon tea will be served at Italian restaurant “RISTORANTE OZIO” on the first floor, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Prices are 7,500 yen per person, or 6,500 yen per person without savory items. A set including admission to the Hida Takayama Museum of Art is 8,800 yen per person, or 7,800 yen per person without savory items. Prices include tax and service charge. Limited to 10 servings per day; reservations are required.
