Super Hotel Offers 30th Anniversary Limited-Edition Whisky
Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in Tokyo will sell Christmas cakes and stollen.
At the Tower’s Restaurant Coucagno, the hotel will offer a Christmas cake themed after the traditional French pastry Saint-Honoré (10,000 yen; limited to 25 cakes), featuring layers of nougat mousse enclosing apricot jelly, hazelnuts, and chocolate cream. Beneath the cake are chocolate and muscadine flavored with raspberry, pistachio, tea, and rosemary.
The Pastry Shop will offer a reindeer-themed cake (10,000 yen) in which opening the lid of a chocolate box reveals a chocolate mousse cake covered by a chocolate dome; a Christmas cake with strawberries and fresh cream (7,200 yen); a Mont Blanc (7,000 yen) piped with chestnut cream and decorated with icing cookies shaped like Christmas trees and stockings, along with chocolate ornaments; and a Bûche de Noël (6,400 yen) combining chocolate, orange, and hazelnuts. Stollen (3,700 yen) made with dried fruits and nuts will also be available.
Reservations will be accepted through December 12. Stollen can be picked up from December 1, while Christmas cakes can be picked up from December 19; both will be available through December 25. Prices include tax, and advance payment is required. Quantities are limited.
