Canal City Fukuoka Washington Hotel fully reopened on September 1 following a temporary closure and renovation.
The lobby features artwork inspired by the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival and wood-based materials modeled after Nakasu food stalls. The hotel has introduced self-service check-in and check-out machines, a self-service cloakroom exclusively for guests, and card-key-linked elevator security. Guest rooms are themed around an “urban theater” and incorporate five natural motifs: water, valleys, greenery, the sun, and stars. Nine Superior Bunk Four rooms, each equipped with two bunk beds, will also be newly added. Guest room renovations are scheduled to be completed by the end of November. The breakfast buffet at Bonjour Plus will newly offer dishes including motsunabe hot pot, karashi mentaiko spicy cod roe, Kirishima Kurobuta pork shabu-shabu, and conger eel tempura.
