AirAsia has been awarded the ‘World Best Low Cost Airline’ at the ‘World Airline Awards 2024,’ announced by Skytrax.
This marks the 15th consecutive selection. The award ceremony was livened up with dances by cabin crew members based in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, and CEO Tony Fernandes made an appearance to celebrate the achievement.
The World Airline Awards have been announced since 1999, encompassing over 350 airlines worldwide. This year’s survey was conducted from September 2023 until May of the same year, in six languages including Japanese, receiving votes from more than 100 countries.
During the event, CEO Tony Fernandes gave an interview stating, “We will continue to be champions. We do not seek perfection, but aim to be honest. We will do our best,” expressing gratitude towards the employees. Details on the joy of winning the award, future business development including the Japan routes, and more will be provided separately. (Reported with the cooperation of AirAsia)
