AIRDO and Hokkaido Chuo Bus will conduct a joint bus tour project aimed at promoting regional tourism in Hokkaido.
The first installment is a bus tour that focuses on the natural resource of drift ice in the winter Okhotsk, touching upon the cultural and natural resources of various areas. AIRDO will handle the PR outside Hokkaido and transportation to New Chitose Airport, while Chuo Bus will be in charge of the bus tour.
Alongside the traditional menu unique to winter tourism in Okhotsk, including the drift ice sightseeing icebreaker ‘Aurora’, the bus tour will feature a course that includes a visit to the obsidian in Engaru Town, a new drift ice experience at the Okhotsk Ryu-hyo Museum in Abashiri City, and illumination viewing on the shores of Memanbetsu Lake in Ozora Town. Three-day tours departing on February 10 and 23, and a two-day tour departing on February 18 are available. Abashiri City and Ozora Town provide support, and souvenirs are provided for participants.
