The Digital Agency of Japan announces that the immigration inspection and customs declaration QR codes in the online entry procedure service ‘Visit Japan Web’ will be unified at 3 a.m. on January 25th.
Previously, foreigners had to use separate QR codes for immigration inspection and customs declaration. However, following the change, a single QR code will be used for both procedures. The menu will be updated to change the two existing items, ‘Foreigner Entry Records’ and ‘Carried or Forwarded Goods Declaration’, to ‘Immigration Inspection and Customs Declaration’.
