Starlux Airlines announced its full-year financial results for the fiscal year ending December 2023, registering a net profit of 149 million Taiwanese dollars.
Revenue amounted to 22.5 billion Taiwanese dollars, marking a 568% increase compared to the previous period. Passenger revenue contributed 19.7 billion Taiwanese dollars (up 767% from the previous period), while cargo revenue accounted for 1.6 billion Taiwanese dollars (a 74% increase). Earnings per share stood at 0.08 Taiwanese dollars. The recovery of travel demand post-COVID-19, along with the launch of new routes to eight cities including those in North America, were cited as main contributors.
Starlux Airlines operates 25 regular routes, 23 of which are to and from Taipei/Taoyuan, and 2 from Taichung. Focusing strategically on expanding connections for transcontinental and Northeast Asian routes, the airline aims to meet the increasing demand in Southeast Asia through route network strengthening and fleet expansion.
